Grant Funded Training


JC Code has been working with Building A Safer Florida, Inc. (administrators of the grant), to secure funds for continuing education specific to “changes to the Florida Building Code, 7th Edition, (2020), related to hurricane mitigation, flood resistance, and wind resistance,”. 

With that being said, JC Code is now offering “Roof Pressures Under The 7th Ed. FBC, Residential” on March 4th at NO COST to the participants.

This course is designed to familiarize code officials, design professionals, and contractors with the changes to roof covering design pressures occurring in the 7th Edition (2020) Florida Building Code, Residential Volume due to the adoption of the 2016 Edition of ASCE 7, Minimum Design Loads and Associated Criteria for Buildings and Other Structures.

Funding for this training is provided by a grant from the Florida Building Commission, Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR), administered through Building A Safer Florida, Inc. (BASF) and is open to most DBPR licensed professionals.
